WebTV Setup

 

This page shows basic instructions on how to set-up WebTV to dial into your ISP. Below are the steps using WebTYV Classic, for WebTV Plus

 

  1. Choose USING WEBTV

  2. Choose CONNECTION & DIALING

  3. Choose USE YOUR OWN ISP and proceed to Step #4  below.

WebTV Classic Setup
1. Goto setup on your main screen

 2. Choose  Dialing
3. Choose Use your own ISP

4. On the next three screens choose Continue
5. Check the top box.  Then input you logon name and password and put in your access numbers
(You may specify an alternate number)

 6. Now hit Continue and it will disconect form WebTV and reconect with your local server.

Setting up Mail

 

You may wish to setup remote mail on your WebTV terminal.

To enable remote e-mail:

1. Go into your Mail window.
2. Click on Settings on the left hand side.
3. Click on Remote mail, then click Continue.
4. Fill in the POP3 User Name, .
5. Fill in the POP3 Password .
6. Fill in the POP3 Server Name
7. There's a checkbox for "Leave messages on server". You would normally want this unchecked.
8. Click Done.

To recieve your E-Mail you will have a Fetch button on the left side of your mail window which will get
your  E-Mail.
