Make New Connection under Dial-Up Networking

1. Double-click on My Computer, then Dial-Up Networking.
   (if DIAL UP NETWORKING is not there see ADDING DUN)

   
   

2. Double-click on Make New Connection and enter <ISP's Name> as the name. Click Next.

   

3. Type the local phone number including area code

   

4. Click on Finish.

   

5. Now right click on the new icon and choose PROPERTIES

6. Click on SERVER TYPES (on some versions of Windows it may be a button in the lower right)

7. Uncheck everything but

ENABLE SOFTWARE COMPRESSION & TCP/IP

8. Hit OK and this will put your in the DIAL UP NETWORKING folder

9. Right click on the new icon and choose CREATE SHORTCUT

10. When a Windows error pops up click YES

11. Close DIAL UP NETWORKING
